about

Children of the Shoegaze Era, this is our ode to all things blissful. Shuttling between NYC and Chicago, this track eventually found home at a hotel room in Phoenix, Arizona (listen for the hotel lobby at the beginning of the track.) Chugging, atmospheric guitars give way to a big riff that culminates in a lush bed of reverbed percussion and elongated samples of strings and brass. "Drive Baby" ebbs and flows before finally drifting off, thanks to our adept mixing engineer Nate “The Skip” Russell. This one is particularly suited to night driving with the windows down.
