This one’s about rhythm. Starting as a demo in NYC, “I've Been” bounced between studios until we finally built a perfect, melodic structure to compliment the multi-layered drum tracking and sampling. As the track progressed, we matched lyrics to the main synth phrase and added acoustic guitar and background vocals just because we can.
